3 Fun Gifts for your Pastor this Christmas!
Dec 07, 2020

Just like any other human, all pastors are different. To really give a great gift you should take the time to know your pastor and his favorite things. Does he love his Traeger? Perhaps meat is the way to go. Is he a die hard Chiefs fan? That's easy! Grab him some garb or tickets to a game.

I will tell you right now, there is nothing on this list that is going to replace a well thought out gift. Feel free to ask his wife or the elders what the pastor loves so you can get something that will be loved and appreciated.

That being said, let's get to this!!

1: The best pastor mug I've ever seen:
Given the way Christians obsess over coffee, I'm thinking pastors might get a coffee related mugs and gifts frequently. I'm not even sure this mug is one every pastor would love or sport for his daily grind, but I think it's hilarious and fun.
This mug  will be enjoyed by almost all who read it. Some of us do end up in the sermons and may not find the joke as funny as others.

2. Funny Socks:
I don't know what kind of socks my pastor wears. As I type this out I'm really torn between wanting to know and REALLY not wanting to know what socks he sports on Sundays. If he happens to wear fun dress socks I'll be tempted to buy all the socks. If he just wears plain ol' socks I feel like I'll be disappointed. But I digress. Many men have on the fancy socks these days. If your pastor is a fancy pastor who is clothed in dress pants while he teaches from the pulpit, I say you get him
fun socks! Or check out these socks that will remind your pastor of all the Lord brought him through in 2020. Quick tip: If he shows up to preach in flip flops skip the socks!

3: Money, gift cards, subscription boxes!
At first thought, these gifts might not seem fun to you, but they are the gifts that keep on giving. Money is a nice treat at Christmas time because we all think of last minute items we wanted that we didn't ask for or get. Having money given to you is always such a blessing. We may never really know how people live on a daily basis.

Gift cards are kind of like the thoughtful money, right. Oh, you couldn't think of the perfect idea, so you did the next best thing and bought money for a specific place. It makes the giver feel better than if he just gave straight cash. However, though I have known many people who have stood on their soap boxes and refused to give cash or gift cards I've never known a recipient to be disappointed.

Remember it might be difficult for your pastor to keep trinkets, as cute as you think they are. Be thoughtful and practical about any gift you choose to give to your church leadership this year. They will appreciate being appreciated, that is for sure.
