Prayer Walk 2020: Getting a little personal
Sep 28, 2020

Standing in the hour long line for the bathroom I heard the voice of the Vice President of the United States of America. That is when it hit me...we have an administration that is prayer for our country. WHAT A BLESSING!!!

There were 7 stops along the way and 7 different ways 10's of thousands of Christians prayed for our country. It was one of the most amazing scenes I've ever witnessed. People of all races, sizes and economic backgrounds coming together with the joy of the Lord to pray.

This song was played and sang all throughout the day! I still have it in my head. The presence of the Lord was strong. At one point, surrounded by people, someone said, "If this is this amazing, can you imagine the throne room of God when we are all at His feet?"

It was a beautiful picture of the unity Christ has in his body of believer when we are submitting to His will in prayer.

I thought these 7 ways to pray for our country were so well thought out that they were worth sharing!!

1. At the Lincoln Memorial the prayer focus was:

Humbling ourselves in repentance and asking God to forgive our sins and heal our land.

2. At the WWII Monument the prayer focus was:

Our military, police and other law enforcement, and their families-and security and peace for the nation.

3. At the Washington Monument our prayer focus was:

Salvation of the lost, renewed strength in our families, solutions to the corona virus pandemic and an end to abortion.

4. From the view of the White House we prayed for:

The President and the Vice President and their families

5. In front of the National Museum of African American History and Culture we focused our prayer on:

Compassion and kindness toward one another, respect and reconciliation between races and healing in the community torn by violence and injustice.

6. At the National Archives ( and we were pretty behind and this point from bathroom line waiting which comes with the territory of taking children to large events) our family grouped together and prayed for:

Religious freedom, and for the churches to have boldness to stand firm with the Word of God and to preach Jesus Christ to a troubled word.

7. The last stop on our walk was the Capital Building and what a sight it is to take in...such a beautiful building representing all America wanted to and while standing there we prayed for:

Our congress and other leaders at the national, state, and local events; the Supreme Court and the judges across the nation.

It should be noted that we were standing there when we heard who the new nominee for Supreme Court Justice was...it was surreal and rad!!

If you are joining those praying (and fasting) these 40 days before the election then I hope you will add these sweet and timely prayer focuses to your prayer time.

Thank you so much for sharing your time with us. Did you know it will only take 20,000 Christians donating $100 each to fund our facilities project?! Be 1 of the 15,930 left to help us achieve our vision!
