3 Ways to Keep Your Ministry Alive During Covid-19
Apr 20, 2020

In a discussion today with a friend, he mentioned it was times like this we really see what people are made of and how they handle bumps in the road.

We all have a tenancy to dig in when a challenge arises or cower and not know how to move forward.

Some churches are killing it right now with online devotions and live teachings every week, but others are struggling to catch up all technology has to offer. Churches with older congregations never saw the need to have online giving or teaching. The time is upon us. Maybe your church leaders have all the resources and maybe they are getting there, but either way if you have a group of people you normally see regularly and facilitate in some way, you really should stay connected.

People need people right now and those who are leaders can reach out in ways that make people remember they are part of the body.

Here are 3 Ways to keep your ministry alive during Covid-19.

1. Stay in contact with your people.

Make phone calls, send texts and even encouraging notes are a lovely gesture of kindness.

2. Have virtual meetings for your group.

You can use platforms like zoom to create a great environment for people to connect.

Everyone has a common bond right now because we are all in the same storm. Connections might be made that would not have been in real life!

3. Go for some "social distancing" visiting.

Pack you family up in the car and drive by and say hi to the families you are missing from your group. You can be cautious and still fill your fellowship tank. Roll down those windows and let your whole family say hi to those families you love. We had an opportunity to be on both the giving and receiving end of this this week and it was amazing.

Don't give up on the moms group God was growing at your church or neglect bible study. Learn how to weave your way through this curvy road and stir up love and good works along the way. God is still good and faithful and if you were called your calling has not changed. You way of doing things may have changed, but when there is a calling on your life you can't let outside circumstances dictate where you know you are called to be.

Use social media and today's technology to stay connected and grow relationships in a new way. We are here and praying for churches. If you want your church and/or ministry on our prayer list please email us or reach out on our Facebook page
