You know what really helps church leaders? Servants!!  LOL!! I know, I know we always need something from you! Seriously though, one of the best ways you can serve your church leaders is by working in your giftings at your church. If there is something you are capable of doing and may not be in your actual giftings, but there is a need, then you should do that too!! 

Here are a few (5 to be exact) articles sharing their perspectives on serving. I thought one or more might sway you to get involved if you aren't already.

One of my favorite pastors always says his job is so much easier when people are serving in their giftings. When we are serving in our God given strengths we are less work for those above us. We are careful and passionate and focused on how to bring God glory in our actions for the purpose of blessing the body. 

There are a lot of articles out there that express what a blessing it is to us to serve and that is true, but our blessings are not to be our focus for why we serve. What we know how to do well should be shared with other believers particularly in our body of believers because what we have been given is God's to use as He sees fit. He will always seek to have you work in a way that brings Him glory so people can ultimately come to know His salvation and grown in their relationship as disciples of Christ. 

2 points I must make before we finish. 

1. You are not above menial tasks at your church.

If the trash needs to be taken out or the toilet needs to be cleaned then do it. We are all working as unto the Lord here and if something needs to be done, please do it. 

2. If you think you have no giftings:

Then you either need to take one of those tests to see where they are OR you need to get over yourself by not thinking about yourself so very often. Contrary to what the culture is currently telling you, IT. IS. NOT. ABOUT. YOU.
