Mission Breakdown Part 2

Rest. Restore. Revive.

Recently my father in law was at a restaurant wearing one of our T-shirt designs and a man approached him and said he really liked his shirt. Much to my father in laws credit he embraced the opportunity to share the vision of Cedar Creek Ministries with the gentleman and his friend. We actually visited their church last weekend and are constantly in awe of the relationships the Lord is creating as we travel.

One of the main reasons our desire to create a family retreat that is different from the traditional retreat model is because we really want individuals and families to be able to actually rest, restore family relationships and revive ministry vision.

Rest:

The hard truth is we all rest and feel refreshed in different ways. To some rest is legit, not leaving the building, and watching movies all day while food is delivered to your door. For others getting out for a hike or having the opportunity to do their hobby is the best kind of rest. For some the phone needs to be 86'd from life and for others using technology is really relaxing. This is true in families too! Not everyone in every family is the same and so all individuals in the family getting to rest is rare.

Restore:

Pastors and ministry leaders are busy. Statistics show many pastors burning the candle at both ends. Families will be able to have the time they need to enjoy family fellowship in a relaxing environment without the distractions of everyday life. Good relationships need time to cultivate friendship, love and encouragement. Just scheduling time to be together can bring draw families closer together even when life has made them feel distant from each other.

Revive:

After individuals in families have rested and had time to refresh family relationships, then leaders can have fresh eyes to focus on the callings God has on the lives. Cedar Creek Ministries is founded around helping pastors and ministry leaders revive their vision for ministry so they can go back home with renewed fervor and strength to pursue all God has called them to do!! Getting a clear head can make all the difference.

With personalized hospitality in mind and a mindset to rest, restore and revive, Cedar Creek Ministries will be able to lift the hands of those who serve on the front lines of ministry on a daily basis. It is such a privilege to be called to serve in this way.

Thank you so much for sharing your time with us. Did you know it will only take 20,000 Christians donating $100 each to fund our facilities project?! Be 1 of the 15,950 left to help us achieve our vision!
